I’m a working mom (and wife) who loves to do crafts, DIY, and decorating projects – when I can find the time! I’m trying to find a better balance between work and life, and being creative helps me be the best me, improve my home, and interact with my 4 year old son – when I can convince him to stop jumping off the couches to join me!

I come from a crafting family. Both of my grandmothers were always making things for us as gifts or teaching us sew, cross-stitch, latch-hook (showing my age here), paint cookies, make doll clothes, bake and more. My mom has always been able to make about anything – and had all the supplies to do it! There have been several times in my life I have “rebelled” against my crafting genes and refrained from any projects. I always seem to come back to it, much to my mom’s delight. (It’s inevitable that we turn into our mom’s, right?!).

I definitely still go in spurts where I am apt to do more projects than others. The last few years, especially with the advent of Pinterest, loads of great blogs and websites, I have found more than enough inspiration for projects – and I’ve actually completed several!

This blog is sort of a way to commit to myself to do more of what I like to do, while having a place to keep track of the things I’ve created. It’s too easy to forget exactly all the steps when you make up some of them as you go along!

You’ll see some food posts here too. I like to bake, but I’m not a very skilled cook. I make a few things really well and side dishes and snacks are my specialty. My husband does more cooking than I do. I’ve been dabbling more though, so you may see a few of my favorite recipe finds on here too.

Here are a few of my favorite photos I’ve posted from Instagram. I share more of my personal photos there than here.

It’s so much fun! You might be able to get in at the last minute. I know some people who were able to because people cancelled. It was freezing here that day but still a blast!

      Thanks for stopping by!
